BOOMRANNG

Founded in 2020 by Sonal Vasave and Makarand Narkar, BOOMRANNG is a “COSMICPUNK design studio” with a penchant for hope. Driven by the zest for capturing the human condition, BOOMRANNG has worked with brands all across the globe in creating stories that strike at the emotional core. Their association with Google, Apple, Youtube, Nike, and many more brands have led to artworks that have since become cultural icons. Their work reflects their design philosophy: retrofuturism- a celebration of the ideas for the future imagined in the past. Through their art, they endeavor to explore collective and individual aspirations, humanity’s progression and finally, to reignite a forgotten hope for a better tomorrow.

Sonal and Makarand, the founders of BOOMRANNG, are alumni of the prestigious J.J. Institute of Applied Art in Mumbai, India where they met for the first time. With a common love for storytelling, sculpture and all things pop-culture, they connected instantly and together found their true calling- illustration. When not illustrating, they can be found traveling in search of local legends and cuisine, or at home with their beloved cats.
