Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, held the “Well City, Beppu Video Awards” in collaboration with Beppu City to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Beppu City.
Beppu City is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its municipal organization and is rebranding itself from “City of Hot Springs” to “City of Wellness”. As part of this effort, our producer Teruki Murakami and Beppu City collaborated to create a vertical video project with the participation of local citizens.
The aim of this project is to reaffirm the abundant values of Beppu City and to brand Beppu as a “wellness city” in Japan and abroad by producing vertical videos of up to 60 seconds in length on the theme of wellness in Beppu City for Beppu citizens and disseminating them through social networking services. More than 150 people from Beppu City gathered at the venue for the awards, which received a great response.
In addition, Teruki Murakami, producer, and Yuji Oki, director, participated in the vertical video production workshop held on October 5th, 2024, and in the award ceremony held on November 30th, as a judge.
