“ The 61st Galaxy Awards ” Award Report

We are pleased to announce that the ‘Tirori Mix, YOASOBI (Gunjo) x Vaundy (Flower Fortune)’ fries at McDonald's won the Grand Prize in the ‘Commercials’ category at the 61st Galaxy Awards!

The Galaxy Awards were established in 1963 by the Broadcast Critics Association in order to recognize outstanding programmes, individuals, and organizations. The awards aim to further improve the quality of broadcasting culture in Japan.
The awards have 4 categories: Television, Radio, Commercials, and Press Activities. Judgement is made between judging April 1st and March 31st (of the following year). The final award winners are ultimately chosen by the Selection Committee, whom are comprised from members of the Broadcast Critics Association.
Lots of award organizations today outsource the selection of final winners to third parties, but the Galaxy Awards are proud to continuously select their winners in-house via members of the Broadcast Critics Association.

There were 286 entries in the ‘Commercials’ category this year by his includes commercials in television, radio and online. Out of these entries 1x Grand Prize, 3x Excellence Awards, and 9x Selected Awards were painstakingly chosen.
