A 20-member Indian delegation led by AIMA visited the Geek Pictures headquarters office to exchange views on expanding entertainment business between Japan and India.
We hosted a business visit by a 20-member Indian delegation led by the All India Management Association (AIMA), providing an introduction to our company's operations and a tour of our offices. We exchanged views on expanding entertainment business opportunities between Japan and India going forward.
The All India Management Association (AIMA), established in 1957, is India's largest organization promoting management and business development. As part of its Global Innovation & Management Programme (GIMP), AIMA organized a tour for participants from various Indian industries to visit companies in Tokyo and inspect the Osaka Expo. Our company was selected as a representative of Tokyo's entertainment companies and creative boutiques for their visit.
During the visit, we introduced our diverse entertainment initiatives, centered on our core business of video production, and encompassing art, webtoons, and film. When we shared examples of our recent business expansion efforts in India, participants actively engaged with numerous questions. Following the exchange, visitors shared enthusiastic feedback: "We were particularly looking forward to visiting Geek Pictures during this tour. Seeing examples of truly creative and cutting-edge initiatives in person was very inspiring.“ and ”We look forward to exploring new collaboration opportunities that could serve as a bridge between India and Japan."
◾️Regarding Business Expansion in India
Our company extends beyond domestic video production, developing various businesses including animation and art both domestically and internationally. In 2019, we established our Indian subsidiary, Geek Pictures Pvt. Ltd. We invite Indian artists to Japan and participate in events like the “India Art Fair 2024/2025” and “Art Mumbai 2024” held in India, introducing and promoting artists active globally, including Japanese artists.
Furthermore, in July of this year, we reached an agreement with AA Films, a major Indian film distribution company, to form a business alliance, marking the full-scale launch of our film distribution business. We will continue to expand our operations to further grow entertainment business opportunities between Japan and India.
