Singer-Song-Monster “Circle” Debuts from New Music Label GEEKMUSIC! Debut Single “Gayoku”—Comparing Human Greed to a “Flightless Moth”—Available for Streaming March 24 (Tue)

Circle, the artist making their official debut today, is a creator active primarily on TikTok who keeps their profile—including face and age—shrouded in mystery.

They first exploded into the spotlight in August 2022 after posting a cover of Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s "Ao to Natsu." The video received a direct reaction from the official band account during a hashtag campaign, with many users praising the "stunning vocals."

Following that success, Circle began posting original songs, handling everything from lyrics and composition to arrangement. Their music features a unique duality: a sharp, detached perspective on the world combined with a gentle touch that reaches the depths of the heart. This worldview is brought to life by Circle’s signature whispery vocals and effortless high notes, creating a truly one-of-a-kind presence. Now, Circle officially debuts, bringing this distinct artistic vision to the forefront.

Released simultaneously with the artist announcement, the debut single "Gayoku" (Self-Greed) is a rock track that serves as the core of Circle’s identity, reflecting the raw, inescapable greed inherent in all humans.
Using the contrasting motifs of moths and butterflies, the song creates a world that mirrors human desire and ugliness through a distinctly nihilistic lens.

【Comment from Circle】

My debut song, "Gayoku" (Self-Interest), is essentially a song of self-admonishment.
I use the image of a "flightless moth" to represent the fundamental greed and ugliness that live within me.
It explores those feelings of envy, jealousy, and prejudice we all experience at some point—written from a perspective that blends the divine with a touch of irony.
Ultimately, it’s about the realization of just how foolish a creature I am.

I like to think of people who are good at pretending to be "normal," sensible members of society as my secret comrades.
I hope this song reaches them and that they find some small sense of resonance in it.
