GEEK PICTURES Launches Geek X, a Next-Generation Entertainment Experience Business — Building a New Model That Transforms Japanese IP into Lasting Experiential Assets

For years, GEEK PICTURES has created experiences that move people through the planning and production of a wide range of visual content, including television commercials, feature films, TV Series, animation, music videos, and live stage productions.
In recent years, we have also expanded beyond traditional visual storytelling by leveraging our creative expertise to produce immersive experiences, including HOKUSAI: ANOTHER STORY in TOKYO, a highly immersive exhibition that engages audiences through physical interaction as well as visual expression.

Today, in response to the rapid growth of the experiential entertainment market and the Japanese government's goal of expanding the overseas market for Japanese IP to ¥20 trillion by 2033, we are launching Geek X, a next-generation entertainment experience business.
While large-scale, venue-specific immersive attractions continue to gain attention, Geek X introduces a new business model designed for flexible deployment across multiple locations—including commercial facilities, urban spaces, and tourist destinations—while taking advantage of each location's unique characteristics.
From films, music, anime, manga, games, and art to other forms of Japanese intellectual property, Geek X provides end-to-end solutions encompassing concept development, experience design, licensing strategies, secondary utilization, and international expansion.
Rather than limiting an IP to a single event or venue, Geek X transforms it into a scalable experiential asset that can evolve across multiple regions and environments, maximizing its long-term value.

We are currently advancing several projects, including proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives.
Moving forward, we will strengthen collaborations with IP holders, commercial facilities, technology partners, and local governments in Japan and abroad to build a new ecosystem for bringing Japanese IP to audiences around the world.
In addition to Japan, Geek X aims to expand into overseas markets including ASEAN, the Middle East, and North America, growing its business on a global scale.

Comment from the Heads of Geek X

Japan is home to some of the world's most remarkable intellectual properties and cultural assets.
Yet many of them are still experienced only through screens.
We believe the next step is to reimagine IP as immersive spatial experiences—experiences that leave lasting impressions on people's emotions and memories.
Geek X combines Japanese IP with cutting-edge spatial production technologies to build a new foundation for the next generation of the entertainment industry.
Our goal is to transform Japanese content from something people simply watch into something they can truly experience and inhabit.
