Press Release
Herbie Yamaguchi Photo Exhibition “Wearable Herbie! – Anytime, Anywhere, Herbie.”
We are pleased to announce the photo exhibition “Wearable Herbie! – Anytime, Anywhere, Herbie.” by photographer Herbie Yamaguchi, to be held at Galerie GEEK/ART from Saturday, September 13 to Sunday, September 21.
Herbie Yamaguchi has long pursued the themes of “capturing human hope” and “creating photographs that make people like one another.” Through his distinctive style of monochrome street portraits, he has produced numerous works that have charmed audiences with their gentle and graceful expression.
This exhibition marks his first foray into apparel design, with a special lineup of T-shirts (five designs in total) featuring some of his most iconic photographs. Each shirt is finished with an originally designed tag bearing Herbie’s own signature, making every piece a collector’s item.
In addition to the apparel, the exhibition will showcase a wide selection of works from Yamaguchi’s photographic archive, gathered during his travels around the world. These include images capturing both pivotal historical moments and quiet scenes of everyday life, offering visitors a multifaceted view into his lens and vision.
