RUNA KURANAKA Joins as the Newest Collaborator in ‘HOKUSAI: ANOTHER STORY in TOKYO’ Series !

“HOKUSAI: ANOTHER STORY in TOKYO” is a next-generation immersive art experience that brings Katsushika Hokusai’s iconic series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji back to life through cutting-edge technology combining visuals, sound, and touch. Widely acclaimed both in Japan and abroad, the exhibition recently announced an extension through Monday, August 11 (a public holiday), and continues to draw high expectations for increased attendance.

In the exhibition’s Art Collaboration Area, visitors can explore works created by contemporary artists inspired by the ukiyo-e masterpieces of Katsushika Hokusai. Since the beginning of the exhibition, the space has been transformed by the talents of three globally active artists: COIN PARKING DELIVERY (Feb. 1 – Mar. 13), Fantasista Utamaro (Mar. 14 – Apr. 24), and GOMA (Apr. 25 – Jul. 11), each bringing their own unique interpretation to the venue.

Now, with the recently announced extension, a new artist collaboration has been confirmed!
As the fourth featured artist, we are excited to welcome RUNA KURANAKA, a contemporary artist and actor known for her appearances on the popular TBS program “Prebat!!”

Don’t miss this new collaboration that bridges over 200 years—uniting Hokusai and a modern artist in a striking and imaginative fusion.
