AI Video Contest Runway “Gen:48” Finalists Selected
At the short film competition “Gen:48” hosted by Runway, a video generation AI platform,
“Real ”LIKE“”, a film we were involved in producing, was selected as one of the 50 finalists out of more than 3,000 entries from all over the world. Gen:48" is a competition in which contestants are required to create a short film within 48 hours on a given theme using Runway's AI video generation tools.
We have launched “GEEK AI STUDIO” as a project to further improve quality while streamlining the video production process by proactively incorporating AI. We have been promoting AI-based production in earnest for a wide variety of video content, including TV commercials and web movies, and have accumulated achievements in a wide range of processes, from planning and direction to editing and generation.
We will continue to utilize AI technology to create entertainment content with outstanding quality and technical capabilities.

Thank you very much for your warm support, even though we did not win the award.
In this GEN:48, we explored “what can be done with AI-generated images” and tried to express animals, which is difficult to do with live-action.
The main character is a kangaroo, a video distributor.
While aiming for a dusty and enjoyable reading experience, the work is a quiet peek into the gap between the real and online worlds.
At “GEEK AI STUDIO” of Geek Pictures, we are exploring AI-based video expression on a daily basis.
I myself hope to work on AI expression in parallel with live-action production to further expand the possibilities of video expression.
