A stage greeting was held at TOHO CINEMAS Roppongi on Thursday, February 27, 2025, to celebrate the opening of “YASUKO, SONGS of DAYS PAST,” a film produced by Geek Pictures and produced by Geek Site, a Geek Community group company.
The three stars of the film, Suzu Hirose (playing Yasuko Hasegawa), Taisei Kido (playing Chuya Nakahara), and director Kichitaro Negishi, took the stage to talk about their current state of mind one week after the film's release.
When asked about the film, which has received a steady stream of responses and feedback, Director Negishi said, “I often receive feedback about the excellent performances of the three actors.
In response to the director's words, Hirose said, “It was a new challenge for me to play a role in the world of the Taisho period (which I have never tried before), so I get comments like, 'It was fresh!' I've found a new world through this film.” she said, smiling.
Also, Kido said, “There was also a person who said, 'I saw the movie five times in one week!' I'm so happy to see so many customers who notice even the smallest details.” he said with a big smile.
In the question and answer corner, a project exclusive to this event, many in-depth questions about the behind-the-scenes of the filming were asked at .......
When asked about the number of times the one-cut scene at the beginning of the film was shot, Director Negishi replied, “We shot this film in order, so the beginning scene was the first one we shot, but we only shot it twice for the production. The beauty of the images and the timing of Hirose and Kido entering and leaving the room were perfect for this scene. It was the scene that caught my attention,” he said.
The movie “YASUKO, SONGS of DAYS PAST,” is currently in theaters nationwide at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya and other locations. Please come and see it in theaters!
